Providing valid ownership documentation helps ensure a smoother transaction.
Step 2: Choose How You Want to Sell
QuickAuction offers two ways to sell your vehicle.
Inventory
Inventory allows buyers to discover your item at any time.
While your item is in Inventory:
- Buyers can view your listing.
- Buyers can submit offers.
- Buyers can purchase your vehicle using Buy It Now (if available).
- You can edit your listing before it sells or moves into an auction.
There is no auction countdown while your item is in Inventory.
Auction
Auctions create a competitive bidding environment designed to maximize buyer exposure.
When your listing enters an Auction:
- A 7-day auction countdown begins.
- Buyers compete by placing bids.
- Buyers may still purchase your item using Buy It Now, if available.
- Your listing cannot be edited while the auction is active.
To help ensure a fair bidding experience for all buyers, listings cannot be edited during an active auction. If changes are needed after an auction begins, please contact QuickAuction Support.
Step 3: Manage Your Listings
Your Seller Dashboard allows you to monitor every listing throughout the selling process.
Common listing statuses include:
- Draft – Your listing has been started but not submitted.
- Under Review – Your listing is being reviewed before becoming available.
- Inventory – Buyers can browse your listing, submit offers, or purchase it using Buy It Now (if available).
- Auction – Your listing is participating in a live 7-day auction.
- Sold – Your transaction has been completed.
- Expired – Your auction ended without a completed sale.
What Happens if My Auction Doesn't Receive Any Bids?
If your auction includes a Buy It Now price and ends without receiving any bids, your listing will automatically return to Inventory.
This allows buyers to continue viewing your listing, submitting offers, or purchasing it using Buy It Now without requiring you to create a new listing.
Step 4: Receive and Review Offers
As buyers discover your listing, you'll be able to review offers and bidding activity.
If Your Item Is in Inventory
- Buyers can submit offers at any time.
- Buyers can purchase your item immediately using Buy It Now (if available).
If Your Vehicle Is in Auction
- Buyers compete by placing bids during the 7-day auction.
- When the auction ends, you can review the highest bid and choose whether to accept or decline it.
Step 5: Complete the Sale
Once you accept an offer or winning bid, the sale moves into the completion stage.
The process is simple:
- QuickAuction collects the applicable buyer and seller platform fees.
- Buyer and seller contact information is securely shared.
- The buyer and seller work directly together to arrange payment for the item.
- The buyer and seller schedule pickup.
- If an issue occurs before pickup, either party may submit a dispute for review.
Important: QuickAuction facilitates the marketplace and collects applicable platform fees, but payment for the vehicle itself is arranged directly between the buyer and seller after contact information has been exchanged.
Disputes
If an issue occurs before pickup, or either party believes the item was not accurately represented, a dispute may be submitted.
Our Disputes Team will review information provided by both parties and investigate the claim.
If the dispute is approved, any applicable QuickAuction platform fees will be refunded.
Important Notice
Once you and the buyer are connected, the transaction should be completed through QuickAuction.
Attempting to bypass platform fees by completing the transaction off-platform or filing a dispute for an off-platform sale may result in account suspension.
Step 6: Arrange Vehicle Pickup
After accepting an offer, you'll work directly with the buyer to coordinate pickup.
Most pickups are arranged within 24 hours, although you and the buyer may agree to a different pickup schedule if needed.
Once payment has been completed and the item has been picked up, your transaction is complete.
Seller Fees
Creating a listing on QuickAuction is always free.
There are no upfront listing fees.
When your vehicle sells, a flat seller completion fee is charged based on the final sale price.
| Final Sale Price | Seller Completion Fee |
|---|---|
| Under $500 | $10 |
| $500 to $4,999.99 | $40 |
| $5,000 and above | $95 |
Sales tax may apply where required.
When Will I Be Charged?
Seller completion fees are only charged after you accept an offer or winning bid and your sale is completed.
You will never be charged to create or publish a listing.
QuickAuction Unlimited
If you have an active QuickAuction Unlimited subscription when your sale is completed, your seller completion fee is waived.
That means you keep 100% of your selling price (excluding any applicable taxes or other required charges).
When Is My Subscription Checked?
Your QuickAuction Unlimited subscription status is verified when your sale is completed, not when you create your listing.
This means:
- If you purchase QuickAuction Unlimited after creating your listing but before your sale is completed, your seller completion fee will be waived.
- If your subscription expires before your sale is completed, the applicable seller completion fee will be charged.
