Proof of Ownership

If you are listing a vehicle for sale, you can upload Proof of Ownership during the listing creation process.

This step verifies to potential buyers that you legally own the vehicle you are listing and helps prevent fraudulent listings.

Previously this step was labeled “Title.” It has been updated to Proof of Ownership because multiple document types may be accepted.

While QuickAuction does not require proof of ownership to list your vehicle in auction or inventory, you are required to be accurate about your title type and status if you have one listed.

• Note - if your title status and type do not match what you have entered in your listing, your buyer may dispute the sale and Sellers fees may potentially be forfeited. 

Accepted Proof of Ownership Documents

You may be asked to upload one of the following:

• Vehicle title

• Vehicle registration showing ownership

• Bill of sale

• Other ownership documentation depending on listing type

Make sure the document clearly shows:

• Your name (or your business name)

• Vehicle information

• Ownership details

Uploading Proof of Ownership

During listing creation:

1. Navigate to the Proof of Ownership step

2. Upload a clear photo or scan of your ownership document

3. Follow the on-screen photo guidelines to ensure the document is fully visible

You can take the photo using your mobile device or upload an existing image.

Our photo guides help ensure documents are captured clearly to avoid delays.

Document Visibility

Once uploaded, proof of ownership documentation is securely stored with the listing.

These documents may be reviewed by:

• QuickAuction Admin team

• Support team (for verification or disputes)

This helps resolve issues faster and ensures transparency in transactions.
