Not Receiving Your Verification Code Text Message (SMS)
If you are trying to create a QuickAuction account and are not receiving the verification code text message (SMS), follow the troubleshooting steps below.
Verification messages are usually delivered within a few minutes, but device settings, mobile carrier restrictions, or network issues can sometimes delay or block delivery.
Before You Start
Please make sure:
- You entered the correct mobile phone number
- Your phone can receive regular text messages
- You have active cellular service
- Airplane Mode is turned OFF
- You are using a mobile phone number (not a landline or unsupported VoIP number)
Common Troubleshooting Steps
Wait a Few Minutes
Verification texts can occasionally be delayed by your mobile carrier. Please wait 2–5 minutes before requesting another code.
Avoid Repeated Code Requests
Requesting too many verification codes too quickly may temporarily delay or block new codes from being sent.
Wait a few minutes between attempts before selecting Resend Code again.
Restart Your Phone
Restarting your device can refresh your cellular connection and resolve temporary messaging issues.
Check Your Cellular Signal
Weak or unstable signal strength may prevent text messages from being delivered.
Move to an area with stronger service and try again.
Disable Wi-Fi Calling Temporarily
Some carriers may experience issues delivering automated verification texts while Wi-Fi Calling is enabled.
Try temporarily turning Wi-Fi Calling OFF, then request a new verification code.
Check for Blocked or Spam Messages
Spam filters or blocked numbers may prevent verification texts from appearing on your device.
Review:
- Blocked contacts
- Spam or junk message folders
- Carrier spam filtering settings
iPhone (iOS) Troubleshooting
Check Blocked Contacts
- Open Settings
- Tap Apps
- Tap Phone
- Tap Blocked Contacts
- Remove any unknown or blocked numbers if necessary
Enable SMS Messaging
- Open Settings
- Tap Apps
- Tap Messages
- Make sure:
- Send as SMS is enabled
- iMessage is enabled if applicable
Verify Date & Time Settings
- Open Settings
- Tap General
- Tap Date & Time
- Turn ON Set Automatically
Update iOS
- Open Settings
- Tap General
- Tap Software Update
- Install any available updates
Reset Network Settings (Advanced)
- Open Settings
- Tap General
- Tap Transfer or Reset iPhone
- Tap Reset
- Select Reset Network Settings
Note: This removes saved Wi-Fi passwords and Bluetooth pairings.
Android Troubleshooting
Check Spam or Blocked Messages
- Open your messaging app
- Review the Spam or Blocked folder
- Remove any blocked automated numbers if necessary
Clear Messaging App Cache
- Open Settings
- Tap Apps
- Select your messaging app
- Tap Storage
- Tap Clear Cache
Verify SMS Permissions
- Open Settings
- Tap Apps
- Select your messaging app
- Tap Permissions
- Confirm SMS permissions are enabled
Disable Spam Protection Temporarily
Some Android devices automatically filter verification texts.
In Google Messages:
- Open the Messages app
- Tap your profile icon
- Tap Messages Settings
- Tap Spam Protection
- Temporarily disable it and request a new code again
Update Android Software
- Open Settings
- Tap Software Update
- Install any available updates
Reset Network Settings (Advanced)
- Open Settings
- Tap System
- Tap Reset Options
- Select Reset Wi-Fi, Mobile & Bluetooth
Note: This removes saved Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and network settings.
