Welcome to QuickAuction! Whether you're buying or selling, our marketplace makes it easy to connect with verified users, complete transactions securely, and find the right opportunity.
This guide explains how QuickAuction works from start to finish.
Step 1: Sellers Create a Listing
Sellers create a listing by providing information about their item, uploading photos, and submitting proof of ownership (when required).
Before becoming available to buyers, each listing is reviewed to help maintain the quality and integrity of the marketplace.

Step 2: Buyers Discover Listings
Once approved, listings become available to buyers.
QuickAuction offers two ways to buy and sell:
- Inventory – Buyers can browse listings, submit offers, or purchase items using Buy It Now (if available).
- Auction – Buyers compete during a live 7-day auction by placing bids.

Step 3: Buyers Submit Offers or Place Bids
Depending on how the item is listed, buyers can:
Inventory
- Submit an offer to the seller.
- Purchase immediately using Buy It Now (if available).
Auction
- Place bids throughout the 7-day auction.
- Monitor the countdown timer.
- Compete against other buyers for the highest bid.
Step 4: The Seller Reviews the Offer
At the end of an auction—or whenever an offer is received through Inventory—the seller decides whether to accept or decline the offer.
If the seller declines the offer, no sale takes place.
If the seller accepts, the transaction moves to the next step.
Step 5: Platform Fees Are Processed
Once an offer or winning bid is accepted:
- Applicable buyer and seller platform fees are processed.
- Taxes, when applicable, are calculated automatically.
- Applicable taxes appear on your Stripe receipt after payment has been processed.
Learn more in Buyer Fees and Seller Fees.
Step 6: Buyer and Seller Connect
After platform fees have been successfully processed:
- Buyer and seller contact information is securely shared.
- The buyer and seller work directly together to arrange payment for the item.
- The buyer and seller coordinate pickup or delivery.
QuickAuction facilitates the marketplace and securely processes platform fees through Stripe. Payment for the item itself is arranged directly between the buyer and seller.
Step 7: Complete the Transaction
Once payment has been made and the item has been picked up or delivered, the transaction is complete.
If an issue occurs before pickup, or either party believes the item was significantly different from its description, either party may submit a dispute.
Our Disputes Team reviews information provided by both parties and investigates the claim.
If a dispute is approved, any applicable QuickAuction platform fees will be refunded.
